Get to know Rosie
Rosie is happiest spending time on the beach on a warm sunny day. She loves to go for walks in nature, finding stillness through yoga practice and keeping strong with pilates. She will get lost in a good crime novel, preferably whilst on holiday.
Rosie’s qualifications include a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Queensland University of Technology) and a Bachelor of Science – Honours (University of Southern Queensland). She is experienced working with adults, adolescents and children in a range of areas such as depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, end of life issues, grief and loss, trauma, relationship concerns, chronic diseases and health difficulties. Further to this, she has a particular interest in resilience programs in workplace settings, military populations, trauma experience and the use of evidence-based therapies and integrative interventions. Having previously worked in hospital settings, private practice, correctional centres, military environments and psychiatric hospitals, she draws on various experiences to guide her approach today. She is guided by evidence-based treatment and works from an integrative therapeutic approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema therapy and Mindfulness-based
