Candy is a warm and compassionate Psychologist who is devoted to providing the best evidence-based psychological care. Candy is curious and thoughtful in her approach to therapy and enjoys working collaboratively with clients from across the lifespan, and diverse backgrounds, and to establish a safe and open environment where they feel heard and supported.

Candy is trained in and draws upon a range of modalities, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and self-compassion-based approaches, to tailor treatment that meets her clients’ needs and supports their growth, well-being and development towards personally meaningful goals.

She has special interests in stress and adjustment difficulties, emotion regulation and relationship challenges, anxiety and mood disorders, performance psychology, acute and complex trauma, grief and loss, and self-esteem and identity concerns. She also has a special interest in couples’ therapy and understanding how early attachment experiences can influence our approach to intimacy, dating and relationships today.

Candy also has experience working therapeutically and in clinical research with individuals, families and systems in the areas of cross-cultural mental health, disabilities, and crisis support.

Candy is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Get to know Candy

Candy finds joy and wellness in challenging her mind and body, whether it be a MasterChef style culinary challenge, a 10-day silent meditation retreat, training jiu jitsu or trekking the Himalayas. You can also find her cosying up with a book or having a good laugh with loved ones. Candy takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and encourages her clients to find their balance both in and out of the therapy room.

Candy's qualifications include a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology (UTS) and a Bachelor degree in Psychology (UNSW). She is registered as a General Psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.  

Availability

Candy is available Wednesdays and Fridays including After Hours and Online Sessions.
